CBO director predicts unsustainable debt, ‘heightening the risk of fiscal crisis’
CBO Director Douglas Elmdorf testified that debt will exceed 100% of GDP within 25 years and continue to rise, a “trend that could not be sustained” and would eventually heighten “the risk of a fiscal crisis” before the House Budget Committee on Tuesday.

Yesterday was an extraordinary day in Richmond that began with blizzard-like conditions and treacherous roads. Nevertheless, approximately 80 determined souls turned out for a “Rally for the Republic” on the grounds of the Capitol. After being inspired by the words of our House sponsor, Delegate Scott Lingamfelter, and Michael Farris himself, this entire group of citizens flooded the halls of the General Assembly building to meet with legislators.

In 2015's first Convention of States committee hearings, the Virginia House Rules Committee passed the Convention of States application by a vote of 10-3, and a Senate committee passed the application by a vote of 9-2.
