Huge Win: NC Senate passes Convention of States resolution

We have great news from North Carolina!

The State Senate passed the Convention of States resolution yesterday on a 29-20 vote.

This is a hard-fought win for our team in the Tar Heel State, and we couldn't be more proud. It was touch-and-go for a moment, as we weren't sure whether we would be able to make the crossover deadline.

But our team in NC was able to convince Senate leadership to move our resolution to the Special Elections Committee, which passed our resolution and pushed it to the floor for a vote. The next day, the full Senate voted in favor.

Now it's on to the House of Representatives! If you live in NC, there are two things you can do.

First, thank you senators! Here are the senators who voted in favor.

Second, contact your House Rep. and ask him or her to support SR 36 when it comes up for a vote. If you aren't sure who your representative is, you can look them up here.

If the House passes SR 36, North Carolina will become the 11th state in history to call for a Convention of States to limit the power of the federal government, impose fiscal restraints, and mandate term limits.
