The Nebraska Convention of States team has grown significantly in 2016. During the 2016 legislative session, the team built strong relationships with legislators and leadership in the unicameral. Our team on the ground is working tirelessly across the state to build support for a legislative victory in 2017!
Here's what we've been waiting for! Senator Ebke introduced our application for a Convention of States in the Unicameral today. Tell your state senator to support Legislative Resolution (LR) 6. Stand up, speak up, and show for Liberty! We have 11 co-sponsors now. If you don't see your senator as a co-sponsor on LR 6 then call them today and tell them to co-sponsor the resolution!
The grassroots are the key to victory -- high numbers ensure success. So are you ready to talk to your friends about the Convention of States Project?
Our goal is to find one District Captain in every Nebraska state house district. The District Captain's mission is simple: find 100 people in your district willing to contact their state legislators in support of Convention of States legislation next session.
It doesn't take a huge time commitment to make a difference. Five constituent phone calls is often enough to move an issue to the top of a state legislator's priority list. In person meetings are even more effective.
Get involved today by reaching out to your state legislators. Don't know what to say?
If you'd like a Convention of States leader to attend a meeting with you and your legislator, contact your state’s legislative liaison.
Your voice is important. Make it heard by sharing Convention of States with your friends and contacts. Don't miss the chance to tell future generations that you stood strong for liberty!
