New Jersey to consider Convention of States application

We've done it! The Convention of States Project's application was officially filed in the New Jersey legislature!

Assemblyman Michael Patrick Carroll (District 25) filed resolution ACR84 and Senator Joseph Pennacchio's (District 26) filed SCR42, both of which seek an amendment-proposing convention of the states to restore our Republic. Its official title will be "Applies to Congress for an Article V Convention of States to limit certain powers of the federal government and terms of office."

In conformity with the resolutions filed in 38 states in 2015 and already passed in 4 states, ACR84 & SCR42 set the agenda of the meeting to consider amendments that "impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government, and limit the terms of office for its officials and for members of Congress." The process has officially begun, and we will be keeping you updated at every step along the way. Please take a moment right now to contact your state legislators and ask them to support ACR84 & SCR42.
