Our Oregon 2017 Legislative session has concluded. Sen. Brian Boquist was our Chief Sponsor for our COS Senate bill: SJM6! Sadly it died in the Senate Rules Committee.

Our Volunteers and Grassroots are the most important part of COS Oregon! Please contact the Co-State Directors (below) if you would like an update or need help getting involved!

We have grown significantly in Oregon since we began! We have a solid leadership team in place and are continuing to grow our Grassroots supporters! We are grateful for our progress in 2015 & 2016! We are on the MARCH for Liberty in 2017!

How can you help?

How can you help?

Grassroots are the key to victory -- high numbers ensure success. So are you ready to talk to your friends about the Convention of States Project?

Then ask them to sign the petition! (Personalized Supporter Link is below.)

Our goal is to find one District Captain in every Oregon state house district. The District Captain's mission is simple: find 100 people in your district willing to contact their state legislators in support of Convention of States legislation next session.

It doesn't take a huge time commitment to make a difference. Five constituent phone calls is often enough to move an issue to the top of a state legislator's priority list. In person meetings are even more effective.

Join our team as a District Captain!

Reach out to your state legislators? Don't know what to say?

If you'd like a Convention of States leader to attend a meeting with you and your legislator, contact your state’s legislative liaison.

September Legislative Days

You are invited!

Legislative Days: Sept 18 – 20, 2017
When not in session, the Legislators meet quarterly in Salem to take care of “housekeeping” issues such as committee assignments, strategies for the upcoming session, etc. This is the time for our 889 volunteers to visit their Legislators.

Schedule a Meeting: The best way to influence your Legislator is to schedule a meeting with them. You need not go alone: a COS state leader will go with you, and will bring some printed materials to leave with them. For help scheduling an appointment with your Legislator, email one of us.

Invite a friend:

Ask someone from your neighborhood or district to go with you.

1) Be prepared to tell your legislators 3 reasons why you believe we should have a Convention of States.

2) Ask what your legislator thinks? Do they have a concern? (Let us know what it is? We have great answers for all questions!)
