Here's a checklist of items that you need to know about your State Legislature:
1. Legislative Session Start and End Dates
2. Pre-Filing Deadlines
3. Crossover Dates
4. Election Cycle (Upper (Senate) and Lower (House) (edited)
5. Number of Upper House Districts (State Senate)
6. Number of Lower House Districts (State House Assembly)
7. Identify Target Districts (Leadership and Committee Members in Upper and Lower State Districts)
8. Learn the process by which a Resolution passes through your State Legislature -

way to understand this is to check out a Resolution that HAS passed...for example here is our COS Resolution from Georgia - note the progression and EACH
step..

A RESOLUTION applying for a convention of the states under Article V of the United States Constitution; and for other purposes.
Once these steps are understood the legislative process becomes exceedingly clear.
9. Identify and ACTIVELY recruit District Captains and Volunteers in the Target Districts to
insure
optimal influence with those Key Target Legislators
10. Seek your Legislator out, build a relationship with them, ASK them to support and assist you, when they are not in Session at the Statehouse they will be out and around in your Cities, Towns, Counties and Districts at public events
11. Understand the geographical nature of your State, how the Districts are laid out and where they are located - what are the industries and businesses in those areas? These are KEY to understanding your State and it's operation because you are identifying REVENUE sources in those areas, of course, these are influential people.
