Only 2 minutes and learn everything you need to know about the COS Application!

Our resolution invokes Article V of the Constitution, calling for a Convention of States to impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit the jurisdiction of the federal government, and impose term limits on federal officials. It's THE only solution as big as the problem!

Both the Senate (SJM 8003) and the House (HJM 4006) now have bills pending discussion during this Legislative Session.  Thanks so much to our volunteers and supporters.  Please check out our key sponsors of these bills.  If your legislator has given their support, please send them a note of appreciation! If not, please contact your legislator by email, a letter or give them a call.  Find your district anytime here.

Washington State COS Olympia Senate Hearing

Wednesday, Feb 15, 2017 @ 8 AM (Sign-in at Cherberg building after 7 AM)

Everyone is welcome!  Join our Washington state team as it is VERY important that we turn out a sizable group of supporters for this hearing.  We know this is an early time, so please try to take a day off from work and attend if you can. Please sign yourself in as a supporter of our bill as soon as you get there (it is a small self-serve electronic kiosk). The hearing is in the Cherberg building (right next to the legislative building with the dome) and that is where to sign in.

After you have signed in, and if you are there early with time to spare, wander over to the legislative building in the rotunda under the dome -- we will have a volunteer passing out COS buttons for everyone to wear to the hearing.

If you can come a day early or stay late, stop by and see your representatives.

Let us know if you will be joining us here:

COS Rallied in Olympia

Ken Ivory - Olympia, WA

The Washington state team held a rally in Olympia on January 18th.  We so appreciate all the volunteers who were able to get to Olympia.  Sadly, we missed a few of our eastern Washington friends due to the closure of I-90!  Our special guest speaker, Ken Ivory (Utah), was very impressed with our team and was very complimentary of the rally.  A big shout out to Doug Basler and Marty McClendon for speaking at the rally and for taping their Wednesday show at our location immediately after the rally. It ran at 5 PM Wednesday, January 18th, 2017.  This is their page with the podcasts if you want to give it a listen.

National Recipient of Challenge Coin - George Vernon

Our state grassroots coordinator, George Vernon, was honored when presented with a "challenge coin" from Mike Ruthenberg to show appreciation for his efforts.  Congratulations George!

The grassroots are the key to victory -- high numbers ensure success. So are you ready to talk to your friends about the Convention of States Project?

Join our team as a District Captain!

Our goal is to find one District Captain in every Washington legislative district. The District Captain's mission is simple: find 100 people in your district willing to contact their state legislators in support of Convention of States legislation next session.

It doesn't take a huge time commitment to make a difference. Five constituent phone calls is often enough to move an issue to the top of a state legislator's priority list. In person meetings are even more effective.

Get involved today by reaching out to your state legislators. Don't know what to say?

If you'd like a Convention of States leader to attend a meeting with you and your legislator, contact us and we will help!

Supporters in Capital for Senate Hearing (January 26, 2016)

Many of our COS leaders and team (45 in photo) were in Olympia for the Senate Committee hearing.  A special shout out to Dr. Michael Farris for expert testimony on the convention of states application. Several COS team leaders were able to address the committee and did an outstanding job! Sen. Roach chaired the hearing and you can watch the archive at   Bill supporters outnumbered the opposition - 15:1!  The committee will take a vote in the next couple of weeks as Senator Dan Benton was absent from the committee during this time.
