Just to encourage all of you out there and to keep you up to date from South Carolina: Representative Bill Taylor will pre-file our bill in the SC House on December 11. We did an “Urgent Action Call” for contacting legislators last night on Facebook and a Nation Builder email blast. The response was overwhelming. My lead sponsor told me moments ago that we picked up five new co-sponsors in the House today.
Nation Builder capability rocks, and Jacquie Peterson has done an amazing job with Facebook boosting. We have a following of over 6,500 on our state page, and with Jacquie’s help we reached 8,772 people with my Urgent Action Call last night! Working in close concert with our lead sponsor, who was going to make a pitch today on the House floor for co-sponsors prior to pre-filing tomorrow, we asked our entire Nation Builder population and email blast recipients to contact their SC House district rep. and ask them to co-sponsor our bill.
My email has been flooded all day with people responding to my request to let us know they had contacted their reps. Some shared letters and messages -- it was awesome.
